He subsequently went on to complete three years of internship and medical residency training at the New England Deaconess Hospital, a Harvard Teaching Hospital. He then spent an extra yr at Harvard to serve as the Chief Medical Resident from 1983 to 1984. Stowe Shoemaker, dean of the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality and his staff hosted a memorable reception for NHS members and friends attending the annual NHS Heritage Weekend event in celebration of the launch of the Fund. The National Hellenic Society , a non-profit organization devoted to perpetuating, celebrating, and passing on Hellenic heritage, proudly proclaims the institution of the National Hellenic Society Culinary Legacy Fund at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas . The Fund will promote Hellenic heritage, tradition and cuisine to culinary arts students enrolled in the Food and Beverage Program within the UNLV’s world-renown William F. Harrah College of Hospitality.
