Mary Kalopothakes M.D. Distinguished Female Physician – Scientist Award was established by dr. Stella Lymberis to be awarded in April each year. The Society now honors previous presidents and members deceased at an annual Archdiocesan Divine Liturgy and HMSNY Memorial Service. After the Second World War, HMS activities had been predominantly social. The affairs of the society had been performed by Dr. S. Nittis, Professor of Hematology, Dr. Michael Mulinos, Professor of Pharmacology, Dr. Louis Ferris in 1960, Dr. Constantine Foustanos in 1965 and Dr. George Haziris in 1967. The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Zoology Museum will open its doorways to the public this weekend, the institution mentioned Friday. In addition to collaborating with the celebrated Museum of the Moving Image for its sequence of month-to-month Greek movie screenings, HFS presents the annual New York Greek Film Expo film festival annually.
